After Taoyuan Leopards signed Dwight Howard this week, the Taiwan Basketball League (T1 League) might welcome another former NBA superstar soon.

According to Focus Taiwan, Tainan TSG GhostHawks are planning on bringing in Carmelo Anthony.

Ahead of the matchup against the new Howard's team, the club's head coach Liu Meng-chu announced today that the club's owner Taiwan Steel Group has greenlit a signing of a marquee player.

The Taiwanese head coach emphasized that Howard's recruitment is a positive for the league, leading to packed arenas around the country.

Since Howard's arrival, the Leopards have sold out all tickets to the four home games this month.

Together with Howard, Anthony played for the Los Angeles Lakers last season. This year, Carmelo hasn't been picked up by any NBA team yet.
