Giannis Antetokounmpo thinks the NBA players should get ready for Victor Wembanyama's arrival because otherwise he's going to be a problem.

Victor Wembanyama has been the talk of the NBA for several months now. Projected to be the no. 1 pick of the 2023 NBA Draft, the French big man has received praise from multiple notable basketball people.

Serge Ibaka has been hosting a show on YouTube called 'How Hungry Are You?'. This time, he invited two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is considered to be one of the best in the world.

When Ibaka asked about Wembanyama, Giannis was straightforward.

"When this kid comes, get ready. If you're not ready, this kid is going to be a problem," Antetokounmpo said. "I've never seen this before in my life. I saw him up close, he was on the same team as my brother Kostas."

"He's taller than Rudy Gobert but he can block shots like Rudy and shoot like KD. Crazy. And he has a good attitude," the Greek Freak continued. "If he stays healthy, he's going to be really good."

The French wunderkind made his debut for the French national team on Friday against Lithuania. Wembanyama finished the game with 20 points on 6-for-13 shooting, making all 7 free throws, and grabbing 9 rebounds for 23 PIR.

France's head coach Vincent Collet actually compared him to Lithuanian legend Arvydas Sabonis in an interview with BasketNewsbefore the match.

"Victor is like Arvydas Sabonis. Not as strong as Sabonis, but with the same skills," he said. "For sure, Sabonis was a mountain, and Victor is really skinny. But they're both 2.21 m and the same size. And Victor is not only a tall guy. He's superb in skills."
