Six teams can book their spots in the next year's World Cup today.

The journey towards the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 continues with nine spots still remaining from the European Qualifiers.

All 24 teams are back in action on Monday with as many as six nations able to punch their tickets to next year's major tournament.

Three teams have already qualified for the tournament - Finland, Latvia, and Germany.

Let's take a look at possible qualifying scenarios for the remaining squads.

Group I

Latvia has already qualified from Group I of the Second Round. If Greece wins against Belgium and Serbia wins against Turkey, Greece would also advance to the World Cup.

Serbia, Turkey, and Belgium cannot book a spot in the next year's tournament in this World Cup Qualifiers window. Meanwhile, Great Britain has already been eliminated from contention.

Group J

Group J features two of the three teams that have already qualified for the World Cup - Germany and Finland. Out of the remaining four teams, three of them (Estonia is already eliminated) still have a chance to become the third team that advances from the group.

If Slovenia wins against Germany today, they'd become the final team to qualify from Group J. In case of a loss, both Sweden and Israel would still have a chance to advance but their fate would then be decided during the last World Cup Qualifiers window.

Group K

The situation is straightforward in Group K. Both France and Lithuania need to win their respective matchups to guarantee a spot in the upcoming World Cup. Lithuania would also qualify if both Hungary and Bosnia and Herzegovina lose today.

All four remaining teams still have a chance to advance but not during this window.

Group L

Similarly to France and Lithuania in Group K, Spain needs to win against the Netherlands in order to qualify for the World Cup. If both Georgia and Iceland lose their matchups, Sergio Scariolo's team would also advance.

The scenario for Italy is even simpler - if they win, they qualify. With the Netherlands being eliminated from World Cup contention, Georgia, Iceland, and Ukraine still have a chance to qualify but not during this Qualifiers window.
