When the worker tried calling 911 but the player told him not to, the documents say. The police receive a call from a nearby Taco Bell restaurant instead.
It is stated that Greene did not have a weapon and did not take anything from the store.
Greene has been charged with attempted robbery, which carries a sentence of one to six years in prison if convicted.
The former player spent four seasons in the NBA from 2008 until 2012 playing for the Sacramento Kings. He ended his stint with the team with averages of 6.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.
Greene has been recently playing in the BIG3 league with the Killer 3's team. In February, he was named the Most Improved Player of the 2021 season.
