Dusko Ivanovic was appointed as the new head coach of Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade on Monday. His introductory press conference was short-lived because he was in a hurry to get to know the players and do the first training session.
Points this season

According to Mozzart Sport, it was rumored that training on Tuesday, the second one since Ivanovic arrived in Belgrade lasted from 17:00 to 22:00.
"We worked until 23:30," Ivanovic pointed out with a smile on his face tonight.
Previously Zvezda president Nebojsa Covic said the team made an early change in the head coach position because it needs a bigger and stronger authority and military-level discipline that comes with Ivanovic.
"The boys have the willingness to work. As I have seen before, they are solid," the new Zvezda head coach said. "What I noticed in the previous games and in these two training sessions, they need patience and faith. If they had that tomorrow [EuroLeague game against ASVEL], it would help us a lot.
"I didn't try to change a lot, because it wouldn't have an effect. Some details have to be changed in defense and attack, but patience and faith are in the first place," the 65-year-old specialist added.
Ivanovic has the opportunity to work with a familiar face in the Serbian capital, Luca Vildoza. Ivanovic coached the Argentine at Baskonia, winning the ACB League in 2020.
"It will make it easier for him because he knows what it's about and can help the guys to make it all go faster," Ivanovic said of Vildoza. "These are real professionals and they'll accept it all quickly. There's a lack of time, but that's how it is, there's no excuse."
The Montenegrin coach cannot wait to play in front of the Zvezda fans, who manage to create a superb atmosphere in the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall.
"For sure, the fans will help us a lot. They were always the sixth, seventh or eighth player of Red Star. But in the end, players have to score baskets and defend, and the crowd will help them," concluded Dusko Ivanovic.
Crvena Zvezda meet ASVEL tomorrow (November 17), at 19:00 CET.
