Luke Sikma racked up a triple-double figure, leading ALBA Berlin to another win in the German Bundesliga.

Led by captain Luke Sikma, defending champions ALBA Berlin won their sixth game of the season in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) and drew level with leaders Telekom Baskets Bonn.

ALBA prevailed on Sunday evening 99-91 (23-24, 22-20, 27-25, 27-22) over MHP Giants Ludwigsburg, who dropped to 5-2.

Christ Koumadje was the top scorer with 17 points, but captain Luke Sikma pulled off a rare triple-double figure with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. That was the American forward's second triple-double in Germany, while Rasid Mahalbasic is far ahead with five.

Isaiah Whitehead scored 21 points for the losing side. As expected, the game was intense and physical from the start. Both teams showed a good offensive rhythm. The Berliners led 45:44 at the break.

The hosts fell behind early in the fourth quarter but held back. A 3-point shot by Jaleen Smith made it 94-88 in the final minute and made things easier for Israel Gonzalez's squad.

On Saturday, Bonn clearly beat Veolia Towers Hamburg 101-72, while FC Bayern Munich also downed Syntainics MBC 82-69.

Bonn and ALBA Berlin (6-0) lead the table ahead of Munich, Ludwigsburg (both at 6-1), and EWE Baskets Oldenburg (5-2).

On Tuesday, the Berliners will continue in the EuroLeague against Red Star Belgrade. Bayern play ASVEL Villeurbanne in France on Wednesday.
