"It felt good, it felt good. I missed my teammates, missed the coaching staff," the player said during the post-game press conference. "It felt good to get this game out of the way, now we can move forward with the rest of the season."
Irving then repeated his willingness to focus on basketball after being provoked to provide answers about a group of people giving out flyers outside the arena. The guard then did not deny filing a grievance in the future for his suspension.
"I got to leave that to my legal team and leave that to the warriors I have around me," Irving said. "I have some strong people, men and women around me, that are going to do everything possible to make sure that I'm protected, my family's protected, and we protect one another. So I'm sure some things will be done in the future, but there's no timetable for that right now."
In 26 minutes, Kyrie scored 14 points on 5-for-12 shooting and grabbed 5 rebounds.
