Barca motivated the decision behind safety reasons, as some Partizan fans bought tickets in the home fans' sector:

"FC Barcelona in compliance with the sports law, cannot and does not want to put its members, subscribers, and fans at risk," the official announcement reads.

Barcelona stated that the club will place Partizan fans, who bought tickets in the local fans' area, and those, who purchased a seat in the visiting supporters' zone, in the upper central part of the Palau Blaugrana.

However, Partizan released an official report which says that only Partizan fans with tickets for the away sector will be allowed to enter the gym.

"We consider this decision, which was made and announced today, extremely unfair to the fans who properly bought tickets and paid for the trip to Barcelona and accommodation," Partizan wrote on their Twitter account.
