Bojan Brezovac from Mozzart Sport reports that Smailagic very likely tore the tendon in his finger of the right hand during the last night's game vs. FC Barcelona. More tests and surgery, if needed, will be done in Belgrade.
It's clear that Smailagic will definitely miss Thursday's game vs. Real Madrid. At the moment, it is unclear how much time the 22-year-old could miss.
Smailagic suffered an injury at the very end of the game after trying to stop Cory Higgins. The Serbian forward visibly held his hand and was substituted.
In August, Smailagic injured his hamstring during the pre-season in Spain.
This season, he played in two EuroLeague games, averaging 7.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 6.5 PIR.
Smailagic is not the only sidelined Partizan player. Bolsa Koprivica continues to recover from the bone fraction in his right hand, while Aleksa Avramovic will be out until December due to right hand injury.
