Only FC Barcelona managed to win against the Israeli club in their house this year. However, all three of Maccabi's away games were lost so far, and lost by a significant margin (avg. 17.3).
With Maccabi now playing against Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade in Serbia today, Wade Baldwin was sure the away win is coming soon.
"Our first away win has to happen, we have to win an away game at some point this season, that's all," the guard laughed. "It will be a tough battle against Crvena Zvezda with their new coach. He demands excellence and they will be a tough team. The crowd will be there so we have to be focused for 40 minutes."
Jarrell Martin shared similar thoughts, highlighting the dominant fourth quarter against Olympiacos which Maccabi won by 12.
"There is no doubt that we had a hard time in the away games but we need to continue the momentum from our last game. I feel if we play four quarters like we played the last quarter, then the sky will be the limit for us for sure," he said. "I feel that if we come with this attitude it will surely be great."
Due to Serbia's FIFA World Cup match against Brazil this evening, Crvena Zvezda's match versus Maccabi was pushed to an earlier time. The match is now scheduled to start at 17:30 CET today.
