The mission has a clear goal: meeting Paolo Banchero and convincing him to join the 'Squadra Azzurra' for the upcoming FIBA World Cup.

As reported by 'Il Corriere dello Sport', coach Pozzecco should meet Banchero on Monday at the end of the game between the Orlando Magic and the Milwaukee Bucks. The meeting between Banchero and the leadership of the Italian federation won't focus only on the technical side.

As part of the mission in the USA, the federation will also propose to the Orlando Magic rookie a series of commercial opportunities to increase his popularity in Europe and Asia with sponsorship deals.

Coach Pozzecco and Salvatore Trainotti will also present to the Magic a clear schedule of the programming for the summer.

During their trip to the USA, the members of the Italian federation are also planning to meet with Utah Jazz forward Simone Fontecchio.

Banchero is having a solid rookie season with the Magic and has often stated his will to play for the Italian NT.
