After losing Alex Poythress for a significant amount of time, Dragan Bender has emerged as an option for Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, Georgios Zakkas from SDNA reports.

With Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv losing Alex Poythress for upcoming months, the club is reportedly already looking for an addition in the frontcourt.

According to Georgios Zakkas from SDNA, the Israeli club is exploring the option of bringing back Dragan Bender, who played for the club during the 2020-21 season before suffering a serious ACL injury.
Virtus Segafredo BolognaandAS Monacoare interested in bringing the Croatian forward in as well, Zakkas reported earlier.
After coming back from an ACL tear he suffered more than a year ago, Bender has been one of the best players in the Spanish Liga Endesa for Monbus Obradoiro. So far this season, he's been averaging 17.7 points and 6.7 rebounds for 19 PIR while shooting three-pointers at a solid 47.1%.
"I totally expected it to go this way, I know how much work I put in the last year when I was injured, I was definitely eager to get back and play basketball again," Bender told in aninterview with Moses Barda of One.co.il.
"It's been great so far for me and I'm looking forward to it continuing like this," he said.
