Another problem has been added to Panathinaikos Athens' list in view of the Greens next Euroleague game against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan at OAKA.

Nate Wolters was unable to join the team's practice today (Dec. 7) and went to the hospital as he is suffering from a virus. His participation in tomorrow's game (20:00 CET) is extremely doubtful.

At the same time, Marius Grigonis is still receiving treatment for his sore back and will not play, while forward Lefteris Mantzoukas followed a part of the program due to elbow discomfort and is also doubtful.

"I think this is the most difficult game for us so far in the season," Mateusz Ponitka commented.

"And this is because Milan are not in the position they'd like to be. They lost some games in the EuroLeague, but played really well in their last match in the Italian league. They're looking for a winning streak, which makes the game even more difficult," the Polish forward pointed out.

"They are in a difficult situation, but we are playing in our gym, in front of our fans, and we have to play our game. In the last three matches, we have shown that we have improved, and if we want to achieve anything this season we have to take many steps forward. This game will be a huge step,' Ponitka continued.

The Polish international concluded by discussing the points his team should pay attention to.

"They have many talented players. Anyone can step up and make a difference. Billy Barron is an excellent shooter, they are talented both in their backcourt and in the frontcourt. If they start making shots, it will be hard to stop them.

We have to play really good defense; good offense is smart defense. Because if you don't make mistakes, it won't give them a chance to run. At this level, all players can play good defense in 5-5 situations. You have to be very talented to score against such defenses," Ponitka concluded.
