Luka Doncic reacted to poor Dallas Mavericks free throw shooting by taking responsibility that everything starts with him.

The Milwaukee Bucks snapped Dallas Mavericks 3-game winning streak, and Mavs free throw shooting became the hottest topic of the game.

In a 105-106 loss, Mavericks converted only 10 of 24 free throws (42%). In comparison, the Bucks made 19 of 23 (83%).

Per ESPN Stats & Info, the Mavericks are the only team in the last 25 years to miss their final 6 free throws in a 1-point loss. Moreover, it wasn't just tonight.

In all of their last 6 losses, the Mavericks were poorly shooting free throws.

"It starts with me," Doncic said after the game. "You got to make the free throws. It's a free shot, nobody's guarding you. You just got to take your time and knock it in."

Meanwhile, Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said the team practices free throws, but tonight it was just unfortunate.

"If you shoot 41 percent, that's not very good," Kidd said. "Ten-for-24. In a one-point ballgame, the small things matter. In the fourth, we were 7-for-15. So we were getting to the line. We just didn't make 'em. Especially there late."

"We practice free throws all the time. It's just unfortunate that we didn't make them at the right time," Kidd concluded.

With a 13-12 record, the Mavericks stand in 7th place in the Western Conference.
