A few days ago, Legabasket had one of its meetings, announcing that next year's edition will take place on September 23 and 24.

The last edition of the SuperCup was played in Brescia, and Virtus won the title after beating Dinamo Sassari in the final game. The tournament usually always marks the start of the season.

Currently, the countries that have been monitored as potential hosts for the competition are United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

As reported earlier, during the past few months, EuroLeague has been in contact with investors from Dubai. They are reportedly willing to become the main sponsor partners of the competition and aim to create their own team.

The last edition of the Italian Supercup struggled to attract audience since Brescia didn't have its own team participating.

In addition to that, the Supercup was arranged during midweek, just a few days before the start of the Italian league, and the answer from the audience was quite unenthusiastic.
