According to Aris Barkas from Eurohoops, there's no indication that Real Madrid will match Crvena Zvezda's offer, meaning that Campazzo will sign for the Serbian club.
The deadline for Real Madrid to match the offer expires on Thursday night.
Earlier, Barkas reportedthat Campazzo received a 2-year€4.3 million offer from the Serbian powerhouse.
The Argentinian guard would earn€1.8 million for the 2022-23 season and€2.5 million for the 2023-24 season.
Campazzo still owes Real Madrid €2.6 million of the €6 million release clause that the Argentinian agreed to pay for leaving the club for the NBA. Barkas reports that a significant amount of that sum would be paid by the contract signed with the Serbian team.
Campazzo was recently waived by the Dallas Mavericks. In 8 games this season (52 minutes played), Campazzo averaged 1.3 points and 1.1 assists.
Before a short-lived stint with the Mavs, he played for the Denver Nuggets and registered 5.1 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists over 65 last season's matches.
Two-time EuroLeague champion joined the Nuggets in November 2020. He has competed in a total of 138 NBA games and posted 5.3 points and 3.3 assists.
Before the NBA debut, Campazzo spent five years in Real Madrid. In the 2020-21 EuroLeague season, he averaged 9.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and two steals in 25 minutes.
