Chris Jones was integral to Valencia Basket taking down Panathinaikos Athens in the EuroLeague yesterday. However, the guard's participation in the next game is now in question.

Jones has recently been dealing with arthritis in his right knee which forced him to miss several games last week. The guard has recently returned but he might be sidelined once again.

Head coach Alex Mumbru has said that Jones will be rested in one of the three Valencia games this week. Having participated in the EuroLeague match yesterday, Jones will be rested either against FC Bayern Munich tomorrow or against Coviran Granada in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday.

In particular, the question is how much Mumbru trusts his team to play without Jones. With the end of the first round of ACB battles coming closer and closer, the team is on the verge of missing out on participating in the Copa del Rey. Every matchup is essential now, especially against a team like Granada which is nearby in the standings.

If Jones is sidelined in the EuroLeague, Jared Harper and youngster Guillem Ferrando would get increased minutes.
