With just over 2 minutes left in the third quarter, Indiana's Jalen Smith was driving to the basket against Golden State's Ty Jerome. Standing nearby, Curry tried to strip the ball but almost immediately retracted his left arm in pain.
He was later seen grabbing his shoulder. The Warriors had to call a timeout in order for the star guard to be checked by the team's medical staff. Curry was later ruled out of the game.
The player will receive an MRI on Thursday to determine the extent of the injury.
"I checked in with [Curry] briefly but haven't had a chance to go into detail," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said after the game. "Steph is always a guy with a great outlook on life, so he's in good spirits."
The Warriors ended up losing against the Pacers. In 30 minutes he played, Curry scored 38 points on 11-for-19 shooting, grabbed 7 rebounds, dished out 7 assists, and made 2 steals.
With 14 wins and 15 losses, the Golden State Warriors are in 10th place in Western Conference.
