Protesting a referee's decision to call a foul against Terence Davis and a technical foul on De'Aaron Fox that followed, Brown stormed into the court and quickly received two technical fouls in a row, forcing the specialist to leave the game.
After Fred VanVleet made all his free throws, Jordi Fernandez took over the team that trailed by 9 (64-73). A strong end of the third quarter and a solid fourth quarter, however, paved way for a narrow win away from home.
In such a way, Fernandez became the first Spanish coach to lead an NBA game. He also got his first victory on that same night.
Mike Brown's ejection:
"It was an amazing win. You see Domas (Domantas Sabonis), you see [De'Aaron] Fox and their numbers, they led the game at the end, the ball was in their hands, I didn't have to do much, they gave us the win," Fernandez said after the game. "It feels good."
With 15 wins and 12 losses, the Kings are now in 7th place in the Western Conference. After a trip to Toronto, the team now travels to Detroit to face off against the Pistons on Friday night.
