"I would like to say that this EuroLeague is very tough, every game is like a final. When we won important games, our players were perfect. When we lost these kinds of games, it's my responsibility," Ataman said in one of his opening statements and later delivered a sarcastic message.
"I am a very bad coach. I don't know how to organize my team. So, it's my mistake we lost this game," the Turkish specialist said.
Ataman continued in the same manner when asked about the three-peat run.
"I am a very bad coach, so I don't think we can win the championship this year."
The head coach then agreed with a journalist thatEuroLeague teams are more equal than ever before.
"The results show such a trend, anyone can beat anyone: Barcelona lost at home and then won in Monaco, Baskonia won two games in Istanbul this week. It's a very equal EuroLeague," Ataman commented and referred to his 'bad coach status' for the third time in the post-game conference.
"I don't know who will win [the league], but I am sure that we will not win it because I am a very bad coach."
Last but not least, Ataman was asked about his professional wish for the next year.
"We will see. I am very nervous for some reasons right now which I can't talk about. I am not angry with myself. I am very angry about the situation," he concluded with a mysterious hint.
