James Nunnally has often been the target of fierce criticism whenever Partizan Mozzart Bet lose an important game.

In the contest against LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, where the American sniper missed a few shots, Partizan weren't able to counterbalance Nando De Colo's offensive firepower.

Nunnally said after the match that he wouldn't allow himself to make such mistakes and he kept his promise in the game against Anadolu Efes Istanbul, where he had his season-best performance while helping Partizan snap a five-game losing streak.

Nunnally spent 32 minutes on the court, scored 18 points and, most importantly, made the 3-point shot over Bryant Dunston that sealed the outcome.

The former NBA swingman isn't someone who talks too much to the media. After the match, he usually bypasses journalists, but after Partizan's big win, he stopped briefly in front of the club's camera to comment.

"Every victory has a different meaning, this one was big for us, for the team's morale," Nunnally initially said.

"The energy hasn't been so great. I hope this victory can help everybody's energy and confidence and get things turned in the right direction," he admitted.

Nunnally recalled his pre-game statements and stressed that his self-confidence never falters.

"I said before the game that I'm confident in myself. People turn the ball over, people miss shots. I'm going to keep coming. Basketball is fun, there's no pressure. Basketball is a game.

You have to move on and have a short-term memory. I don't care a fuck about what anybody says about me. I know who I am and what I can do on the court," Nunnally concluded.

The 32-year-old player is obviously aware of all the criticism he has been targeted by, but as he points out, he's too interested in any side stories.

Following one of Partizan's most important wins in the season, Zeljko Obradovic gave the players who participated in Friday's game a day off. On Sunday, a regular practice session has been scheduled, where the team will prepare for the ABA league contest vs. FMP, scheduled for Monday.
