One of the better moments was captured by FC Barcelona.
Argentinian guard Nicolas Laprovittola was watching the closing second of the penalty shootout together with his teammates in the locker room while preparing for the Spanish Liga Endesa match against Unicaja Malaga.
Once Gonzalo Montiel scored the game-deciding goal, Laprovittola burst into ecstasy that was followed by tears of joy.
Current and former NBA players alike joined in the football fun, congratulating both Argentina and Lionel Messi on the achievement the legend of the sport has been waiting for years.
"What a final!!! So happy for Messi," Dirk Nowitzki tweeted. Donovan Mitchell and James Harden called Messi the GOAT (Greatest of All Time), while Trae Young celebrated by posting a picture of himself and Messi.
LeBron James, meanwhile, tweeted his impressions, commenting on France's comeback. In the end, he joined in the group with Messi followed by a goat emoji.
Manu Ginobili, for example, tweeted throughout the entire match, sharing his emotions almost live with his almost 5 million followers.
At one time, Manu tweeted a picture of his dog sleeping nearby while he was watching a match. Next, he shared a table full of various snacks, later admitting he didn't like them but that it was not the time to leave the TV for any other unrelated stuff.
The dog later came back to the scene when she and her owner celebrated Argentina's overtime together. When the match ended, Manu celebrated the win and gave a nod to Messi as well. "Standing applause for the greatest of all," he tweeted.
Euroleague players joined in as well. Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade guard Luca Vildoza and soon-to-be his teammate Facundo Campazzo celebrated Argentina's win in their Instagram stories. Vildoza posted an artwork of Messi aspiring to reach the legendary Diego Maradona, while Campazzo posted a picture of Messi kissing the winner's cup.
