After a 104-101 overtime win against the Raptors, Embiid praised his teammates but also made a dig toward the Canadian team.
"We're always on him [De'Anthony Melton], me especially. Everybody really, because I know that as long as they keep shooting, whether it's [Melton], Tobias, P.J., James, guys coming off the bench. As long as they keep shooting, it doesn't matter if I make it or not it makes my job easier."
Embiid finished the game with 28 points (4/13 2PT, 2/3 3PT, 14/15 FT), 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 3 turnovers.
However, the Cameroonian center also shared his opinion about the Raptors.
"But when you play a team like Toronto, they don't really care. It seems like, most of the time, they don't care about winning," Embiid said. "They just want to shut down the other star players."
"But when you play that, you got to be ready all night. You got to stay alert and have the confidence of just keep shooting it and hope that you make them when they come, and that's what he did tonight," Embiid concluded.
Embiid averages 33.0 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in 21 games.
