In particular, Panagiotis Kalaitzakis (lower back discomfort) and Eleftherios Bochoridis (muscle strain) will miss the EuroLeague match against Anadolu Efes Istanbul on Friday. Arturas Gudaitis has also missed recent practices but his situation is more complicated.
The Lithuanian center has been battling an illness this week and has not travelled with the team to Turkey. However, SDNA reports that the player might still fly on another plane later if he's declared fit for the match. As a result, even though he is doubtful for the game against Efes, a possibility still exists that Gudaitis might join the team.
"Grigonis is with us, he had two practice sessions with the team. Gudaitis was a bit better this morning, we will see his condition and decide if he will travel," head coach Dejan Radonjic said before the flight.
Serving as a backup to Georgios Papagianis, the Lithuanian has been averaging 7.2 points and 3.4 rebounds for 8.1 PIR this season.
With 6 wins and 8 losses, Panathinaikos share 11th place in the EuroLeague standings with three other teams.
