He repeated the phrase "I don't want to be punished" twice related to the last call on Scottie Wilbekin, who fouled Aleksa Avramovic on a crucial episode that decided the outcome of the game.
"We have won three quarters. We there were with better numbers in assists and two-pointers. You know, it's difficult to talk when I see what I saw on a film. What should I say? I don't wanna be punished," Itoudis commented in the post-game conference.
With 3.5 seconds on the clock and the result tied at 72, Wilbekin was called a questionable pushing foul against Avramovic. The Serbian guard was trapped in the corner and had nowhere to put the ball, but the officials' whistle rescued the last Partizan possession.
Avramovic then went to the free-throw line, made one shot out of two, and put his team in front (73-72). Fenerbahce called a timeout but failed to score after it, as the Turkish team turned the ball over.
Fenerbahce lost for the third time in a row in the EuroLeague. Their losing streak reaches five games if adding defeats on the domestic front.
