The guard was expected to debut on Friday but the club's fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the Argentinian play in the EuroLeague.
Campazzo will not be registered in time to face FC Barcelona this week. The deadline for registering new players for the upcoming round expired at 18:00 CET today with the guard not on the roster yet. The Serbian club is still under the EuroLeague sanctions that prohibit the team from registering new players.
The Friday match was one of the most anticipated in the entire season. When the tickets were launched for sale, every single one of them was sold out in just two hours.
The EuroLeague ban comes from unpaid fees and failure to provide the required information by Crvena Zvezda. Although it was reported that the club had sent all required documents to the EuroLeague, the ban has not been lifted yet.
Even without Campazzo, Crvena Zvezda have been on a roll recently, capturing 7 victories in the last 8 games with the last win coming against Olympiacos Piraeus.
