Aleksej Pokusevski suffered a non-displaced tibial plateau fracture in his left leg which will sideline him at least for six to eight weeks.

Aleksej Pokusevski exited the game against the San Antonio Spurs early on Tuesday night. Additional tests revealed that the player will have to miss an extended time due to the injury he sustained.

The Oklahoma City Thunder announced that the Serbian youngster suffered a non-displaced tibial plateau fracture in his left leg which will sideline him at least for six to eight weeks.

Pokusevski will be re-evaluated at that time and the club will decide whether he can continue playing at full strength. With mid-February being the quickest he can return, it is plausible that Pokusevski might come back only in March or even April.

So far this season, the Serbian forward has been averaging 8.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game for the Thunder. He will be eligible for a rookie contract extension this offseason.

With 15 wins and 19 losses, the Thunder are currently 12th in the Western Conference standings.
