The Milwaukee Bucks had the ball with 6:55 left in the quarter. Allen passed the ball to Pat Connaughton who was guarded by DeRozan. The Milwaukee guard went to set a screen for his teammate and elbowed the Chicago Bulls star in the process.
DeRozan immediately got up from the floor and sprinted toward Allen. The two had to be separated before a bigger conflict sparked.
Talking about it after the game, DeRozan explained his point of view.
"I just felt the hit," he said. "I just felt like I went across the middle in a football game, trying to catch a slot route and got hit."
Grayson Allen didn't feel the same way.
"I got pushed into the screen," the Bucks guard told after the game. "I was trying to slip to the corner, and I ran into him."
