Olympiacos Piraeus will battle against Panathinaikos Athens without their biggest star.

Sasha Vezenkov will miss the Greek derby due to an injury he's been dealing with recently. The star forward missed both Wednesday's and today's practice due to a right adductor muscle spasm.

The 27-year-old forward missed Tuesday's game in the Greek League versus AS Karditsas as well.

The Bulgarian player continues to feel discomfort and the club decides to rest the forward in order to avoid possible troubles in the future,Gazzetta.gr reports. Sport24.gr calls the situation extremely unlikely for Vezenkov to appear in the EuroLeague game.

Vezenkov averages 19.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 25.3 PIR in 15 EuroLeague games this season.

Olympiacos will play against Panathinaikos on Friday at 20:00 CET.
