Panathinaikos Athens suffered their biggest defeat in OAKA against Olympiacos Piraeus in the club's history today and the team's fans let them know about it.

Panathinaikos lost the match by 24 points (71-95) which beat the previous margin of 20 points (49-69) that was set during the 1996-97 season.

Olympiacos got a significant lead early on in the game (41-22) and maintained it throughout the second half. Former Panathinaikos guard and current AS Monaco star Mike James attended the match with his teammate Donta Hall but the view he saw probably did not bring up any positive emotions.

Panathinaikos fans started booing the team in the middle of the game and continued doing throughout the second half. After the match ended, multiple objects were thrown onto the court. Only the infamous green net stopped it from the players and coaching staff getting injured.

Throughout the game, Olympiacos held a 31-point lead (81-50) which was the biggest in-game margin in the entire history of the derby.

When the emotions cooled off a bit, a group of around 50 fans surrounded the player's tunnel in the OAKA arena, waiting for the players to come out. After around 15 minutes, the group spread out.

Panathinaikos communications officer Dimitris Kontos alter approached the fans, general manager Argiris Pedoulakis and the club's center Georgios Papagiannis spoke to the group as well.
