Zion Williamson grabbed a defensive rebound with 37 seconds to go in the third quarter and dribbled the ball down the court. As he crossed the half-court line and went closer to the three-point line, Zion started limping before handing the ball to Dyson Daniels.
The player went to the locker room and did not finish the game. After the game, Pelicans head coach Willie Green told that Zion exited the match with a hamstring strain.
"It was right at a pivotal moment in the game," Green said. "We'll get some imaging and look at him and hopefully he's OK. It was a tough loss for us."
Williamson finished the game with 26 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds on 10-of-12 shooting before being sidelined with the injury.
