"A lot, especially when we lose and when we play badly," Vildoza answered about their similarities. "Such support helps a lot and is similar to what I am used to in Argentina."
Cheering for their beloved teams brings the country together, Vildoza says. During that short amount of time, everyone forgets the rough part of life and just enjoys the sport in Argentina, the player tells.
"Title! Of course. Everyone will tell you that," he says what he'd choose between a better economic situation in Argentina and a World Cup title. "But it's not really funny. Our economy is sick, people are suffering, and the national team in Qatar helped unite the people. Everyone celebrated together and even forgot about their problems and were happy if only for seven days."
Known for loud and sometimes conflict-raising support, Argentinian fans are as crazy as the Serbians, Vildoza says, remembering the time he had to face off against his current teammate Facundo Campazzo's team.
"When I was playing, we had a city derby against Campazzo's team. That was amazing. The atmosphere is similar to when Zvezda and Partizan play," the guard explained. "I don't follow as much now because of the big time difference but I think the league has lost popularity. It was great while I was playing. I was at Mar de Plata and we played against Facu's team in a derby. People were crazy. They cheered the entire game, we lost, so there were fights. As in every derby. But overall it was great. People go crazy when during the derbies."
Back in Belgrade, there were several occasions when the local fans even sang 'Argentina' during the games in respect to Vildoza's performance. Argentinian fans sang a song named 'Muchacos' during the World Cup that encapsulated the wishes of the country's football community.
"I love it, I sing it all day. Not so much now but during practice, even for the entire day," Vildoza said about 'Muchachos'. "I bored my girlfriend."
"There will be songs, won't there? I heard they were singing to me but I didn't understand it very well," the guard told. "I hope there will be a song if we win something."
