Vezenkov felt discomfort in his right adductor muscle and was kept out of the game. If the star player continues to be separated from his teammates, he'll be in danger of missing the match against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan.
Vezenkov signed a contract extension with the team yesterday, adding one year to an already existing deal. Vezenkov's salary will jump from €900,000 this season to €1.5 million next year and close to €2 million if he stays for the 2024-25 season.
In return, if the Olympiacos star were to transfer his talents to the other side of the Atlantic, the Greek club would receive a bigger buyout as a result of the move. According to Sport24.gr, Olympiacos would get a buyout in the range of $1 million to $1.5 million.
After a solid 2021-22 season in Europe, Vezenkov has been dominating this year, averaging 19.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.2 steals for a league-leading 25.3 PIR in the EuroLeague this season.
