The 28-year-old was called for the second technical foul for jawing at officials for what he believed to be a foul that went uncalled.
Smart had to be held back by Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla as he tried to confront referees following his second technical foul.
Boston was down 28 at the time of ejection.
Smart finished with seven points, four rebounds, eight assists, and one steal but had the second-worst plus-minus on the team at -26.
OKC shot 59.2 percent from the field and earned a convincing 150-117 home victory.
