Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade issued an official statement regarding the EuroLeague sanctions that prevent them from registering new players, including newcomer Facundo Campazzo, and coaches until February 28.

"Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade informs the public that on Wednesday the club received a decision and punishment from the so-called financial EuroLeague panel, according to which our club has no right to register new players until February 28, 2023!
In addition, the club was fined 25,000 euros.
Crvena Zvezda believes that this punishment is extremely severe and will continue in the coming days with all legal means to fight to 'overthrow' this punishment!
The club will inform the public about all further details on a daily basis."
Facundo Campazzo is set to miss at least 9 more EuroLeague matches following the sanctions.
EuroLeague fans can still see Facu playing since the new players' registration deadline is March 1.
