Despite the interest from Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul and his former team Olympiacos Piraeus, Aris Barkas of Eurohoops previously reported that the Greek NT member is not interested in overseas opportunities yet, as he is pursuing a 10-day NBA contract.
Dorsey, 26, was released by the Mavs after appearing in just three games this season, averaging 3.0 points in 2.7 minutes per game while shooting 80.0 percent overall from the field and 50.0 percent from the 3-point zone.
He also played 15 matches in the G League with the Texas Legends and posted 24.0 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
The 41st overall pick in the 2017 Draft holds NBA career averages of 6.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists over 107 games with the Atlanta Hawks (2017-19), Memphis Grizzlies (2019), and Dallas (2022).
The Lakers have two solid rotation players -- Austin Reaves and Lonnie Walker IV -- at the 2 spot. It would be hard for Dorsey to get some playing time in L.A.
Reaves averages 10.8 points and 3.1 rebounds over 28.9 minutes, while Walker IV registers 14.7 points and 2.3 boards in 29.8 minutes.
