According to NBA journalist Chris Haynes, DeMarcus Cousins is expected to work out for the California team sometime next week. The clear date hasn't been determined yet, Haynes reports.

The four-time NBA All-Star was the most dominant in the NBA at his peak before a series of lower-body injuries in the latter part of his basketball career put him off the A-list. He last played for the Denver Nuggets in the 2021-22 NBA season, averaging 8.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as the primary backup to Nikola Jokic.

Cousins became a free agent after the Nuggets did not renew his contract.

He joined the NBA in 2010, after playing only one year at the University of Kentucky. He was picked 5th overall by the Sacramento Kings, where he played until 2017 when he was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans.
