After undergoing surgery to his right patella tendon last summer, Bogdan Bogdanovic is now back on the court for the Atlanta Hawks for a month now, helping the team battle for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Serbian is now feeling free, he told in an interview with SportKlub Srbija. Later on, the NBA guard named his biggest surprises of the first half of the EuroLeague season.

"There were many surprises. It started with ALBA, they played the first few games NBA-style. I wondered if they would be a team that would make a difference in Europe. Armani surprised me negatively during that losing streak, I didn't expect it," the player told.

"Then, Fenerbahce - they dominated, they played phenomenally. Everything was like clockwork until Jonathan Motley and Scottie Wilbekin were injured, and Calathes also did not play two or three matches due to injury," Bogdanovic explained. "There are some nice surprises. Basketball in Europe is progressing, there are many quality players. And Baskonia play in NBA style, they are very interesting to watch."

Bogdanovic started his professional career playing for Partizan Belgrade. The 30-year-old was happy that the team finally came back to the EuroLeague.

"Partizan is an extremely high-quality team, I think they can beat anyone. They need to get used to it but it takes time. You don't build a team for just one year. It's a process," he said. "Partizan have big goals, and one of the first should be to reach the playoffs and have the best possible ranking. After that, we'll see."
