"Listen, I'm doing my job. That's all I can do," LeBron first said. "They're doing what they feel is best for the franchise," he later added.
Amick notes that LeBron shouted "Y’all know what the f— should be happening. I don’t need to talk." as he walked away from him.
The journalist then continued to argue that James' level of patience with the Lakers' decisions is decreasing. With LeBron playing a dominant season (29.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game), Amick argues James has all rights to demand that the Lakers got him more help for a playoff run.
Later in the day, James took to Twitter to respond.
"Hey Sam, actually my patience isn't waning. You make it sound like I'm frustrated when I'm really not. I told you over and over, my job is focused on the guys in the locker room, my job isn't the roster. That's the reality of that conversation," LeBron tweeted. "And I said what I said with the utmost respect and calmness 'cause that's the mood I'm in! You're welcome! 5-game winning streak."
