With 5 seconds left in the third quarter, Jordan Clarkson got beat on the move by Desmond Bane. Unable to defend face-to-face, Clarkson punched Bane from behind, causing a reaction from the Grizzlies players. Clarkson was ejected for his actions.

Up by 8 (96-88), the Grizzlies had the last possession of the third quarter with Dillon Brooks handling the ball. The guard handed the ball to Bane who quickly cut to the basket past Jordan Clarkson.
With 5 seconds left on the game clock and unable to defend face-to-face, Clarkson threw a punch from behind directly into Bane's head. After a foul was called, Jaren Jackson Jr. immediately started approaching Clarkson, wanting to deal with him. The Jazz guard got into a fighting stance and had to be separated from the Grizzlies players by one of the referees.
Clarkson was ultimately ejected from the game. A fine from the NBA is expected to be handed to the player as well.
