Real Madrid will not be able to count on Gabriel Deck in EuroLeague's double-round week.

Real head coach Chus Mateo provided an update on the Argentinian forward, saying that he has avoided a severe injury, but still has a significant strain on his right leg's hamstring.

"Gaby had some tests in the morning, and a major injury has been ruled out, but she still has a significant strain on the hamstring of his right leg, and we prefer not to rush with him on such an intense journey," Mateo said.

Deck last played in ACB League against FC Barcelona on December 2. He missed last week's EuroLeague battle vs. Maccabi.

The 27-year-old averages 13.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 16.7 PIR over 13 EuroLeague games this season.

Real are also missing Carlos Alocen,Adam Hanga,Anthony Randolph, and Rudy Fernandez.

Mateo had some positive news about the latter player's health condition.

"Rudy is progressing well, but it's too soon to let him play. We hope he can be with us soon," the coach said.

The Royal club is traveling to Belgrade to meet Crvena Zvezda on Tuesday (at 19:00 CET), and then Los Blancos will be heading to Berlin to play a match against ALBA on Thursday (at 20:00 CET).
