FC Barcelona head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius provided an injury update on Tomas Satoransky, who suffers from tendinitis in his right ankle.

Saras said the Catalans would have to deal without their main point guard in the clash between EuroLeague titans: Barca and Anadolu Efes Istanbul.

"I think Tomas will not make it to tomorrow's game. We are not going to risk him. The most important thing is that he feels 100%, so we are going to be patient. One day he felt good, another bad… It's very difficult for a player. We decided to stop and start again, and, in principle, he won't be available tomorrow," Jasikevicius revealed.

The Lithuanian mastermind acknowledged that the Argentine guard Nicolas Laprovittola would have to adapt to the point guard position and act as "a boss on the court" this Friday.

"Laprovittola can play in the point guard position, although in the last year and a half, he has been used in the shooting guard spot. He will have to make this adjustment: command and be the boss on the floor.

Jokubaitis is more of a pure point guard and, hopefully, he can continue taking steps forward as in the last two weeks," Jasikevicius said.

The Barcelona-Efes game is scheduled for Friday at Palau Blaugrana (at 20:30 CET). The first 2022-23 game between these two teams was marked by Efes' victory and Jasikevicius' conflicts with his own player Nikola Kalinic and the opponent coaches.

"Things have happened here in recent years that are interesting for people, but for us, it's just another game. However, our emotions should be there. The rival deserves it.

But we have a lot of respect for them. Above all, we have to focus on our job on the court. Be more consistent to win. Improve, improve and improve," Jasikevicius pointed out.
