Will EuroLeague do enough to put itself on the map after Luka Doncic words? / News - Basketnews.com
Luka Doncic stated he prefers watching EuroLeague games rather than the NBA. It was a good promotion for EuroLeague, and BasketNews Staff Writer Orazio Cauchi tries to propose ideas that could increase the popularity of the competition, even in the USA.

The Dallas Mavericks superstar said he watches more EuroLeague games than the NBA ones. A statement that immediately made the rounds in Europe, not only on basketball websites but also on social media.
One of the biggest NBA stars said on the record that he prefers to watch EuroLeague on TV instead of the NBA. Quite the endorsement for EuroLeague, right?
Doncic's words by themselves weren't exactly surprising. We all know that Doncic remained extremely close to Real Madrid, and in the past, just like many other European players, he had also said that scoring in EuroLeague is much more difficult than in the NBA.
Bogdan Bogdanovic is another former EuroLeague player, now in the NBA, who has often shared his love for European basketball. He remained in touch with his former clubs, including Partizan Belgrade and Fenerbahce (he even helped to recruit coach Igor Kokoskov to Fener).
Despite all the social media buzz, Doncic's words also highlighted a problem quite well known for anyone who follows the EuroLeague with any degree of continuity.
