A controversial foul was called on Semi Ojeleye with Olympiacos up by three. On top of that, Milos Teodosic received two technical fouls and was ejected for the second time this season.

"Coaches and players make mistakes, and so do the referees. Especially in the last minutes. But I don't remember, and I am quite old, such a huge series of refereeing mistakes," head coach Sergio Scariolo said of refereeing after the game.

"I am going to rewatch everything, but I'm flipping," he added.

The Italian club has decided to take action. According to journalist Dario Ronzulli, Virtus have sent an official letter to the EuroLeague, asking to send a review of the refereeing during the match.

Olympiacos improved to 12-7 in the standings and is one win away from first place. Virtus dropped to 8-11 after registering back-to-back home losses this week.
