Otverchenko spent the majority of his career in Ukraine, with a one-season exception in Spain (Manresa).
The shooting guard represented five local clubs: BC Kyiv (2012-15, 2019), BC Donetsk (2012-13), Cherkaski Mavpy (2018-19), Prometey (2019-20), and Budivelnyk (2016-18, 2020-23).
In 2017, Otverchenko became the champion of Ukraine as a member of the Budivelnyk club.
