Markelle Fultz made his second free throw to tie the game with just under 15 seconds remaining. The Denver Nuggets had the last possession. Jokic set a slip screen to Jamal Murray with 6 seconds to go and received the ball with the game on the line.
Defended by Franz Wagner, Jokic proceeded to hit a contested stepback three-pointer with just 0.2 seconds to go on the game clock. The ensuing Magic possession wasn't successful, and the Nuggets took the win.
Jokic finished the game with a triple-double of 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists.
The Serbian superstar didn't react with joy or any other kind of positive emotion after his game-winning shot. Instead, he ran straight back to defend before a timeout was called.
"I don't know," Jokic said when asked why he didn't react. "That's probably how I react with no reaction."
With 30 wins and 13 losses, the Nuggets are now 1st in Western Conference.
