"Be aware when you post as a joke, it's collected into the data pool and creating inaccurate results," a former NBA player wrote.
The Turkish governmenthas recently placed a bounty on Enes' head, and people started directly threatening him, wanting to kill the player.
Kanter Freedom has been marked as a member of theFethullahist Terrorist Organization/Parallel State Structure and is officially wanted by the Turkish government. He's been placed on the Grey list of the Turkish Interior Ministry's 'Terrorist Wanted List'.
Up to 10 million Turkish liras (~€490,000) are promised as a reward for those who give information that leads to the capture of a wanted person.
"While the memes are funny, this bounty is no joke," Kanter Freedom noted in his latest Instagram post.
He last played for the Boston Celtics in the 2021-22 season. Kanter Freedom is an 11-season NBA veteran, who has career averages of 11.2 points and 7.8 rebounds in 748 games with the Jazz, Thunder, Knicks, Trail Blazers, and Celtics.
