"It would be more a question for the front office but we liked it a lot when he played the Summer League," Thibodeau said. "I hope he has a good season and then in the summer, we'll see. But yes, I would like to see him."
Mundo Deportivo notes that the Barcelona guard has impressed the Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer in the Summer League as well.
The uncertainty in the point guard situation could mean that Jokubaitis might transfer to the NBA this year already. Besides Jalen Brunson, the remaining trio of Derrick Rose, Immanuel Quickley, and Miles McBride have a cloudy future in New York.
Rose's role has significantly decreased, McBride's contract ends after the season and the guard is set to become a free agent, while Quickley's deal ends in 2024, and no extension has been reached yet.
Jokubaitis has a contract with Barcelona until the year 2025 but the deal features an NBA out after each season.
