Zaire Wade: Dwyane Wade's son says he's open to an offer from Europe / News - Basketnews.com
Zaire Wade, the son of Dwyane Wade, admitted he thinks about playing in Europe and would be open to an offer.
Zaire Wade, the son of legendary Dwyane Wade, recently took part in the Basketball African League (BAL) combine, where he revealed that he would be open to an offer from Europe.
Wade didn't play in NCAA, so in the 2021-22 season, he began his professional career, playing for the Salt Lake City Stars in the NBA G League.
He averaged 4.6 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 13 games before suffering a season-ending injury in March 2022.
However, Wade successfully recovered, and this season, he will play in BAL, facing a new experience once again.
My path is a roller coaster that no one has ever been there," Wade told Christos Tsaltas from SDNA. "There are some experiences I haven't had, but the best is yet to come. Nothing is over, the best is yet to come, and I know it."
Asked about a possible opportunity in Europe, the 20-year-old Wade admitted that he thinks about it.
"I'm definitely thinking about playing in Europe," Wade revealed."If an opportunity comes for me, I am definitely open.I have had a taste of European basketball, having taken part in earlier combines.I am open to whatever can catch my attention."
Wade was also excited about the experience in the BAL Combine while promising a new version of himself.
"You can expect to see a completely new player compared to last season. The experience [in BAL Combine] was good for me.I enjoyed it.It was great to get on the court, be competitive and show my talent. It's something I always do, I want to get my work out there.I love it," Wade said.
"I'm a competitive spirit, and I want to maintain and expand that. I hadn't played competitive basketball in 8-9 months. My last game was last year in the G-League. I hope to continue like this. I played after a while, and I want to maintain the good form I showed," Wade concluded.
