Seeley has just terminated his contract with the French first-division club BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque. He averaged 12.8 points and 2.6 assists over 13 LNB games this season
The Bavarians are reacting to the frequent illnesses and injuries since the start of the season by adding Seeley to the team.
"We've been playing with a very short rotation for a good six weeks now, after we had to cope with numerous absences, especially in the backcourt," Bayern sporting director Daniele Baiesi said. "Facing such a situation, we have decided to strengthen our rotation in the perimeter line in order to prevent further overloading of those players who have recently had to play very, very much."
Bayern head coach Andrea Trinchieri has to deal without Vladimir Lucic and Andreas Obst. Zan Mark Sisko has not been playing since the beginning of November.
Meanwhile, Seeley has been constantly competing in Europe since 2015. He has bounced between 10 clubs in 8 years.
"I'm really happy to come back to Germany and Munich, where we had a great season together with our coach Andrea," Seeley said of his arrival.
He has been in Munich since Tuesday evening and took part in team training for the first time on Wednesday. It's still unclear whether he will play in EuroLeague Round 20 game against Anadolu Efes on Friday.
